1. What we collect

We collect information you give us directly when you create an account, book a session, or contact support. That includes your name, email, profile photo, time zone, and the subjects you're interested in.

We also collect technical information automatically — IP address, browser type, device, and pages visited — to keep the platform running smoothly and to detect fraud.

2. How we use it

Your data powers the service: matching you with tutors, processing payments, sending you reminders for upcoming sessions, and improving the product based on what works for learners. We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information.

3. Who we share it with

Your name, photo, and rating are visible to tutors you book with. Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay) handle payment data under their own privacy policies. Email and analytics vendors may process your data on our behalf under strict contractual safeguards.

4. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies — for login, theme preferences, and aggregated analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some platform features (like staying logged in) won't work without them. See our cookie policy for the full list.

5. Your rights

You can access, export, or delete your data at any time from your profile settings. You can opt out of marketing emails with one click. EU and California residents have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA — contact us to exercise them.

6. Security

Passwords are hashed. Sessions are signed. Payment data never touches our servers. We run automated security scans and have an incident-response process for notifying you within 72 hours of a confirmed breach.

7. Children's privacy

The platform is intended for users aged 13 and older. If a parent creates a supervised account for a child under 13, the parent is responsible for managing the account and may request deletion at any time.

8. Changes to this policy

We'll notify you by email at least 30 days before any material change to this policy takes effect.
