1. Introduction

Welcome to Tutor. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our platform, including all related services, features, and content. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our platform. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. User Accounts

To use certain features of the platform, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or remain inactive for an extended period.

3. Booking Policy

Bookings are subject to tutor availability and confirmation. Once a booking is confirmed, both the student and tutor are expected to attend the session at the scheduled time.

Students must provide accurate details when creating a booking, including the subject, level, and any specific requirements. Tutors are expected to prepare accordingly and deliver sessions of professional quality.

Repeated no-shows by either party may result in account restrictions or suspension.

4. Payment Terms

All payments are processed securely through our supported payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, or Razorpay). Prices are displayed in the currency configured by the platform administrator.

Payment is required at the time of booking. Funds are held until the session is completed, at which point the tutor's share is credited to their wallet, minus any applicable platform fees.

You agree not to circumvent the platform's payment system by arranging direct payments with tutors or students outside the platform.

5. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before a scheduled session are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made between 12 and 24 hours before the session receive a 50% refund.

No refund is provided for cancellations made less than 12 hours before the session, unless the cancellation is due to an emergency or platform error.

Rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance and are subject to tutor approval and availability.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the platform — including text, graphics, logos, and software — is the property of Tutor or its content providers and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any platform content without express written permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

Tutor acts as a marketplace connecting students and tutors. We are not responsible for the quality, accuracy, or outcomes of individual sessions, and we do not guarantee specific learning results.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising out of these Terms is limited to the amount you paid for the disputed service in the past twelve months.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Tutor is registered. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
