Cancellation refund tiers

• More than 24 hours before the session — full refund, no questions asked.
• 12 to 24 hours before — 50% refund.
• Less than 12 hours before — no refund unless the cause is an emergency or platform fault.

When the tutor cancels

If your tutor cancels for any reason, you receive a full refund automatically — credited back to the original payment method within 5–7 business days, or instantly to your in-platform wallet if you prefer.

Quality issue?

If a session didn't go as expected — connectivity problems, mismatch with the brief, or unprofessional behaviour — submit a quality report from your booking page within 48 hours. Our team reviews each one and issues a credit or refund where warranted. Your first replacement session is on us.

How refunds are paid

Stripe / PayPal / Razorpay — same card or wallet you paid from, 5–7 business days. In-platform wallet credits — instant. International transfers may take a few extra days due to bank processing.

Automatic settlement — no manual approval

Every cancellation is reconciled automatically the moment you confirm it. Our system checks the time remaining against the refund tiers above and, in the same database transaction, books the refund (or partial refund), records the audit transaction, and marks the booking financially settled. There is no admin approval queue, no waiting period, and no manual button anyone has to press — refunds either land in your wallet instantly or are dispatched to the original payment provider as soon as the cancellation is recorded.

• Full refund (24h+ before) — booking marked Reversed, wallet credited immediately.
• Partial refund (12–24h before) — booking marked Partially reversed, eligible portion credited; the cancellation fee is logged separately for transparency.
• Late cancellation forfeit (<12h before) — booking marked Settled; no money moves to your wallet, and the platform retains the amount per policy. The forfeited amount is recorded in your transaction history as a "Late-cancellation fee".
• Cancelled before payment was captured — booking marked Settled; no balance ever changed hands.

If a tutor cancels, the system bypasses the time-tier rules and refunds 100% — also automatic, no admin involvement.

Subscriptions

Cancel any time from your subscription page. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle — no pro-rated refunds for unused time, but you keep access until the period ends.
